Tenant won’t leave home, making couple watch from outside
Just days after a couple in Greater Noida successfully evicted their tenant by sitting on a dharna outside the door, another couple in the same area is using the same method to evict their tenants who remained in the flat after the rent deed expired.
Srichand and his wife Lalitesh Kumari started a dharna outside their sixth-floor flat in Techzone 4’s Ace Aspire in Noida Extension.
According to Lalitesh Kumari, they rented out their new apartment in March 2017, but the tenants refused to leave when the lease expired in March 2022.
“She didn’t return our calls or messages. So we reasoned that the only way to reclaim our apartment was to organise a protest “, said the elderly couple.
